Volunteer Roles

1) Guest Lectures

Our volunteering engagement aims to acquaint and prepare learners for work environments, job interviews, and various scenarios by leveraging volunteers’ professional abilities and experiences. 

Volunteers can participate in our skill-share volunteering programme by delivering guest lectures on topics essential for learners entering the workforce for the first time, such as Money Management, Professionalism at Workplace, Managing Personal Obligations, and Adapting to Change.

COMMITMENT

Volunteers are  provided pre-reading materials, and expected to attend a 1-hour onboarding session (one-time), with the goal to build the knowledge and skills that are most critical to successfully engage with a Generation cohort, followed by volunteering sessions of 2 hours each.

2) Mock Interviews

Volunteers can facilitate mock interviews, helping learners in our tech programmes, build confidence and improve their technique for their first job interviews.

During a one-hour online session, volunteers meet a batch of Generation learners, work with them on practice questions, and provide invaluable feedback on interview techniques.

COMMITMENT

Volunteers are provided pre-reading materials and expected to attend a 1-hour briefing session (one-time), followed by sessions of 1 hour each

3) Technical Sessions

Our tech programmes seek to train learners in entry-level roles of Full Stack Development and Cloud Support. Volunteers with a technical background can conduct sessions to help learners understand the practical application of various softwares and address  technical questions.

Volunteers are provided pre-reading materials and expected to attend a 1-hour briefing session (one-time), followed by sessions of 1 hour each
