Kamasani’s Journey: From Struggles to a Promising Career in Tech
Growing up in a suburban area of Hyderabad, Kamasani’s childhood was marked by curiosity and exploration. The rapid urbanization of the city opened new avenues, but access to quality education and early career opportunities remained a challenge. Despite completing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Kamasani struggled to secure entry-level roles or internships.
“It was tough finding internships or jobs after graduation. The competitive job market made me feel unqualified, and I wanted to contribute financially to my family, which made things harder,” Kamasani reflects.
He spent months searching for jobs, but the lack of prior experience placed him at a disadvantage. However, his determination remained unwavering through these challenges.
Discovering Generation India
During this period of uncertainty, a friend introduced Kamasani to Generation India, a program designed to bridge the gap between education and employment. After hearing positive feedback, he quickly enrolled in the AWS re/Start Program to enhance his technical skills.
The training exceeded his expectations, equipping him with both technical and soft skills that made a real difference in his career readiness.
“I learned about Docker, Jenkins, AWS, and data visualization tools. The collaborative projects were particularly enjoyable as I got to work with peers and learn from different perspectives,” says Kamasani.
He credits the mentorship and career guidance he received during the program for expanding his horizons: “Generation India reshaped how I think about my future. I became more proactive in seeking opportunities and networking, and my outlook on the tech industry widened.”
A Career Kickstart with AMNET Digital
With Generation India’s placement team facilitating interviews, Kamasani was offered a role as a Trainee Software Engineer at AMNET Digital Pvt. Ltd. He now works on developing applications and exciting projects, finding fulfillment in his newfound independence.
“I feel a sense of accomplishment and independence now that I’ve started my career. The company offers various training programs to further advance my skills, which makes me optimistic about the future.”
His family’s pride and relief are palpable, with Kamasani noting how meaningful it is to have secured a stable job: “My family is very proud of my achievements, and I’m grateful to have this opportunity.”
Kamasani’s journey from struggling to secure a job to thriving in the tech industry highlights the importance of bridging the gap between education and employment. Programs from Generation India not only upskill individuals but also redefine what is possible by creating pathways to careers that were previously out of reach.
Kamasani’s story is just one among many—proof of how perseverance, combined with the right support, can unlock life-changing opportunities.
