Gopi Kolli | Andhra Pradesh
Junior Full Stack Java Developer (JFSJD) program graduate (2021 Cohort)
From Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Gopi Kolli always had a clear goal—to build a stable, meaningful career in the technology sector. After completing his degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, he looked forward to starting his professional journey.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges. Opportunities were limited, and Gopi quickly realised that employers were seeking specialised skills beyond his academic qualifications.
“I was ready to work hard, but I needed the right skills to match what companies were looking for,” Gopi says.
Discovering a New Path with Generation
During his search, Gopi came across Generation India Foundation. Seeing it as a chance to bridge his skill gaps, he enrolled in the Junior Full Stack Java Developer program.
“The curriculum was exactly what I needed, focused, hands-on, and aligned with what companies demand,” he shares. “The instructors were highly supportive, and the learning experience helped me gain both technical skills and confidence.”
Through the program, Gopi developed the competencies that strengthened his professional profile and prepared him for real-world challenges.
Career Growth and New Possibilities
Soon after completing the program, Gopi secured a role as a Software Engineer at Ernst & Young (EY), an achievement that marked a major milestone in his career.
“Getting placed at EY was a proud moment, not just for me, but for my entire family,” he says.
Today, Gopi continues to grow in his role, applying what he’s learned and constantly looking ahead.
“Generation gave me more than skills; it opened up opportunities I once thought were out of reach. It showed me how continuous learning can unlock new possibilities.”
Looking Ahead
Focused and forward-looking, Gopi now envisions a career filled with growth, leadership, and lifelong learning.
“My goal is to keep building my skills and growing in my profession. There’s a lot to look forward to.”
