Eight months. No interviews. But giving up? Never an option.

For Ganesh Bari, the toughest part wasn’t waiting, it was watching opportunity knock on every door except theirs.
A B.Tech graduate from RGPV Bhopal, Ganesh had done everything by the book. “I studied hard, got my degree, and believed that would be enough. But the job market didn’t agree,” he recalls.
Ganesh grew up in Chapora in Burhanpur. Living with his parents in a modest middle-class household, the pressure started to build. “I could feel the weight of expectations, not because my family demanded it, but because they had always believed in me. I didn’t want to let them down.”
Job searching became an eight-month maze of unanswered applications and ‘experience required’ dead ends. “It was disheartening. I had the knowledge, but I didn’t feel job-ready.”
Just when doubt began to settle in, a quiet moment of browsing the internet led to something different, a discovery that changed the course of his journey.
“I stumbled upon Generation India. It felt like a sign. I clicked, read more, and decided — this is where I start again.”
He enrolled in the Amazon Web Services Re/Start Programme, and from day one, Ganesh realised this wasn’t just another course. The curriculum was hands-on, the trainers were invested, and the real-world projects challenged him in ways his college hadn’t. “We weren’t just learning to code, we were learning to think, work in teams, and communicate like professionals.”
Through feedback, mock interviews, and peer learning, Ganesh began rebuilding not just skills but confidence. The turning point? A group project that pushed them out of their comfort zone.
“That project made me feel like I could really do this, not just survive in the tech world, but thrive.”
Soon after completing the programme, Ganesh secured his first job as an AWS Cloud Engineer at Flynaut SaaS Private Limited. The news brought more than just relief, it brought pride, financial stability, and hope.
“My parents were overjoyed. I could finally contribute to the household and stand on my own two feet.”
Today, Ganesh is thriving. His company offers learning opportunities and a clear growth path, and for the first time, he feels like his career is truly in his hands. “I’m more motivated than ever. I know where I want to go, and Generation India helped me build the map.”
But this story isn’t just about one individual’s transformation. It reflects a much larger truth — that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. And that skill development is the bridge that connects the two.
“There are so many young people out there like me – capable, ambitious, and just waiting for a chance. Programmes like this show us that with the right training and support, we’re not just ready for the workforce – we’re ready to lead it.” – Ganesh concludes.
